Why hoard it?
Sometimes it’s good to just stop and listen to the sounds around you. When you manage to filter out dogs barking (or maybe that’s your neighbour with an odd fetish) life can be quite cool to listen to. This site captures sounds uploaded by people from all over the world so that you can zone out from your surroundings and then zone in elsewhere. Now not all the sounds are relaxing, some are quite raw like the bustle of a coffee shop but hey, whatever takes your fancy

1 April 2022 at 2:30 pmI liked it a lot, almost feels like your really there if you place the yellow stick figure on a blue dot you can really get the perspective of the one who recorded the sound. For me Scheveningen beach near the Hague in the Netherlands the concept worked best for me, a whole lot of locations to click bringing up childhood memories, hearing the sea, playing children, the wind. Just all nice but it depends how you use it and if you are a little imaginative.
