Why hoard it?
Before Google sent their little car out to take pictures of the street (and embarrass folks just about to shove a sandwich in their mouth) the best way to view streets was literally by standing on the corner of each one and taking a snap. That’s exactly what this site has to offer, super interesting photos from New York in 1940. Enjoy.
